In the commercial plaza, readers can recognize the iconic glass wall with text of Zhongshuge. There is an open bookshelf in the window next to the entrance.

Behind the gate in the text glass wall, readers will enter “the world of karst cave”, which is the cultural stationery corridor. The reflection of rows of “stalactites” seem like infinitely extended waiting for readers to explore. Designers makes the bookshelf into the shape of a boat, and the ground is like water flow, which leads readers through the treasures of knowledge.

Through the world of karst cave, the space is boutique reading area. Each small study room is designed a classic treasury of books through the structured and squared layout. Readers could enjoy in the sea of wisdom of ancient scholars and purify inner soul. In each room, there are desks and chairs for readers to enjoy the quiet reading time. If anyone want a break, the children's library is in the next door where readers could experience the fairy-tale world. The walls are inlaid patterns with the most featured minority custom of Guizhou with various colors. When children are reading, they can accept ethnic cultures naturally and share the fairy tales with others.

The other end of the cultural stationery corridor is adjacent to the cultural and creative area, which takes the conception of karst landform. Due to the reflection of ceiling mirror, the magnificent “mountain-shaped bookshelves” are more upright. In the reflection of water-like black glass on the ground, landscape paintings are displayed to readers. Through the landscape paintings, the next part is lecture hall, evolved from the terraced fields.

After a lecture, readers can have a rest in the leisure area, slowly digesting and absorbing harvest of the day. There are many seats between shelves, sets of comfortable tables and chairs to relax. When readers look up, the ceiling seems filled with bookshelves, provides a sense of safety surrounded by books. Along the leisure area, the next space is quiet and white reading room, where the bookshelves in the walls are arranged in rows. Bookshelves become narrower gradually, then reflected by the glass surface on the ceiling, the stalactite shapes are appeared. The rows of bookshelves are slightly rotated, and provide different visual perception from front and back.

The whole design is like the vision that Zhongshuge has always upheld: to create the most beautiful reading experience space for readers, where they harvest not only wisdom from books, but also the perception and comprehend of life.
